aha，三种情况么：

1、In the east/west/south/north of sth

比如说A是B包括的一部分，而且处在B的某方位（比如说北部），那么就可以用A is in the north of B

e.g. Beijing is in the north of China

2、On the east/west/south/north of sth

这种情况是两个物体相互接触或者相互接壤，但是没有从属关系

比如蒙古和中国是接壤的，就可以用Mongolia is on the north of China

3、To the east/west/south/north of sth

这种情况是两者分开了一定距离，没有直接接触

比如日本和中国就没有接触，隔了一点距离的，就可以说Japan is to the east of China

应该就是这三种了
